I am also happy to say there will be a second full length Twinscapes  album release seeing the light of day later this year on Rarenoise…more on that later…

New Twinscapes for 2018....

I am happy to say this year will see the release of a second Twinscapes album, with Lorenzo Felicaiti and myself joined by Roberto Gualdi on drums and also on some tracks by percussionist Andi Pupato.
More news on this when I have it, as we are still in the closing stages of making the album, but for the remainder of January, the album can be pre-ordered with all other upcoming Rarenoise releases, as part of their yearly  "Leap of Faith", please see below for an audio track:

Live with Gaudi

I've contributed bass to some of the tracks on his forthcoming album so it makes total sense to be joining Gaudi for some dates in support of his forthcoming album "Magnetic"

set for release on Rarenoise on June 16th.

The live band will be a four piece and also include Pippo De Palma (Loungedelic) on guitar and Nikolaj Bjerre on drums.

I've been working through the material in preparation and it's a heady mix of psychedelia, dub, krautrock and atmospherics, it's sure to be a great experience for band and audience alike…..looking forward to it!

The New Year has finally come, so it's time for some fresh news from O.R.k.

The new album "Soul of an Octopus" mixed by the 3 time Grammy award winner Marc Urselli and mastered by Fossenkemper at TurtleTone Mastering will be released on Feb 24th via UK label Rarenoise . We'll be following up the release with a series of European dates in March. As with our first album "Inflamed Rides", "Soul of an Octopus" features some stunning, original artwork by Nana Oktopus Dalla Porta.

Gaudi - 30 HZ Dub Prelude

I am in great company on several new and forthcoming tracks by Gaudi, who's full length album "Magnetic" is due later this year on Rarenoise. I have been regularly updated on the progress of the album, and it's developed into something really special, as Gaudi has spun entirely new tracks from disparate material taken from across the Rarenoise catalogue adding his own analogue keyboards and a well placed selection of stunning effects as well.

Below you can hear the track 30Hz Dub Prelude, (which features also my Metallic Taste of Blood bandmates Ted Parsons and Eraldo Bernocchi) taken from Gaudi's new White Vinyl 10" EP which is out now, click the text for details.

Obake Recording

At the tail end of 2015, Obake reconvened in a remote fog bound studio in the Reggio Emilia region of Italy to start work on an as yet untitled third album, scheduled for a release later this year on Rarenoise.

Sessions were productive and enjoyable, once again the music making a great context for my down tuned Spector Euro 435LX.

Obake - "Mutations"

The "Fallen Angel" cover image below, by Petulia Mattioli, is taken from the forthcoming second album "Mutations" by Obake, due this coming October via Rarenoise.

I had been a big listener of their first album, and after hearing some of the early work in progress tracks from "Mutations" I couldn't resist the chance to step into their intense cauldron of sonic energy.

I have contributed bass to the majority of the tracks on the new album, making a lot of use of my down tuned Spector Euro 435LX, aided and abetted by various EBS distortion FX, like the FuzzMo, MultiDrive, Valvedrive etc.  perhaps some of my most furious bass sounds to date.

In due course, I'll be joining Eraldo Bernocchi, Balazs Pandi and Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari for some live dates later this year. Check out the tour dates on the band website here, and for those on Facebook, the FB page can be found here.

Twinscapes out now

The Twinscapes album is out now, from all the usual outlets and of course Burning Shed and the Rarenoise store.
Please check shipping dates, as the vinyl is scheduled to go out after the CD version, due to a longer manufacturing time.

Twinscapes Pre-Order Information

Pre-orders are now being taken for the Twinscapes album (yours truly and fellow bassist Lorenzo Feliciati with contributions from Nils Petter Molvaer, David Jackson, Andi Pupato and Roberto Gualdi see previous post here), which will be out the middle of next month.

Note that due to the longer manufacturing time, the vinyl will be available a couple of weeks after the CD.
