Twinscapes Pre-Order Information

Pre-orders are now being taken for the Twinscapes album (yours truly and fellow bassist Lorenzo Feliciati with contributions from Nils Petter Molvaer, David Jackson, Andi Pupato and Roberto Gualdi see previous post here), which will be out the middle of next month.

Note that due to the longer manufacturing time, the vinyl will be available a couple of weeks after the CD.

Click here for CD via burning shed and here for vinyl. Alternatively, to order direct from Rarenoise, please follow this link:

Various combos of digital, CD and vinyl are available.

There's an album preview on my soundcloud page:

Lastly, some more information about Twinscapes can be found on my website here.

Bye for now,

Twinscapes Recording

I am glad to say that Twinscapes, set in motion for a one off experimental impromtu gig earlier this year, has blossomed into a proper ongoing collaboration with an as yet untitled full length album scheduled for release in February next year on Rarenoise.

To that end, Lorenzo Feliciati and I got together in late June in a somewhat mysterious studio, hidden deep in the English countryside to develop our material together.

Lorenzo and I are currently sifting through, editing and evolving the material further, and also planning the input of some guest musicians, more info will be forthcoming.....

We've now also confirmed a special performance at the London Bass Guitar Show in March 2014.

Bye for now,

Colin

PS. Also a shout out for Lorenzo's latest album (in conjunction with Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari) Berserk!, which is a great album for the adventurous listener and is currently "heavy spins" (as they say) in my earphones.

Twinscapes (with Lorenzo Feliciati)

I've been interested in the idea of writing and performing with another bass player for quite some time, and I am pleased to say, next week I'll get the chance to do so.

I'll be playing at the Flyover in London W10 with Italian bassist, composer and arranger Lorenzo Feliciati, who I am mostly familiar with through his work with the mighty Naked Truth, although I've also been digging his recent album "Frequent Flyer".
We have christened ourselves "Twinscapes" which hopefully conveys the ambient, rhythmic, electronic, and atmospheric territory we'll be (dis)covering, with plenty of room for improvisation and interaction too.

Dave Walsh will be joining us on drums, and Matt Stevens will be playing support.

Saturday 16th March at 8pm, The Flyover, 3-5 Thorpe Close, Portobello London W10 5XL
Admission is Free.

Bye for now,

Colin
